Peace, Love, and Respect for the community and environment

Bocas Music Fest 2017 is a planned celebration of music, culture and community Feburary 25th and 26th 2017. Primarily a 2-day event with live performances by international reggae artists and other proven popular and featured local musical acts.

The exciting reggae revival movement from Jamaica are hitting the stage with artists including Jah 9, Jessie Royal, Kabaka Pyramid, Raging Yah, Meta & The Cornerstones and Khalilah Rose. Great Panama artists on the bill include El Roochie, I-Nesta, Likkle Mystic and Kafu Banton.

The event will take place in Bocas Town, Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro Archipelago, in the northwest region of the Panamanian province of Bocas del Toro. Bocas, as this beautiful place commonly known, offers many advantages to an event of this type. Among the advantages is growing international interest in the beauty and splendor of the region of Bocas del Toro, an important and not to be overlooked part of a growing Panamanian tourism industry.

Bocas Fest is an event designed to take advantage of this development while making a positive contribution to the community of Bocas. We propose to positively harness the advantages of this place, and we strive to make this event a successful and rewarding experience for residents, attendees, sponsors, investors-and all involved for many years to come.

Bocas Town is clearly “off the beaten path”, but is not as remote a place as one would imagine. It is served by its own regional airport (walking distance from town), with regularly scheduled multiple daily flights to and from Panama City (40 minutes away), to many other destinations in Panama, and internationally to San Jose, Costa Rica. A regular ferry service, transporting both people and vehicles, connects the island to the mainland town of Almirante, which is then accessible to the national highways. Many modes of transportation are available in Bocas—buses, cars, bikes—but for island hopping within this community of islands, the commute is handled primarily by a small fleet of “water taxis”.

Lodging and hotel accommodations in Bocas cover the entire range of possibilities, with designated camping grounds, small “Bed and Breakfast” and hotels, and several sprawling luxurious resorts and “Eco lodges” with private beaches. There’s a suitable place to stay in Bocas to fit every festival visitor’s budget.

Tickets go on sale August 31st with early bird discounts for General Admission for $49.95 and VIP Tickets for $149.95 which includes VIP reserved sitting, VIP tent and meet and greet the artists.
