Don Carlos and the Dub Vision Band and the Reggae Angels are scheduled to be appearing at Ashkenaz in Berkeley, CA  Fri August 21st. These Ashkenaz shows have always been great roots gatherings.

Don Carlos is a classic well loved reggae act with his horn section and his strong catalog of albums. This year he performed on many of the major Reggae festivals including Tribute to the Legends, Reggae in the Hills, The Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival, The Oroville Rock Reggae Jamfest and Reggae on the River as well as doing many major appearances with Slightly Stoopid. He is also slated to play the Dry Diggings Music Festival in Placerville, CA Sat Sept 26.

Don Carlos’s music is healthy and clean for the young and old. He appeals to people from all walks of life. His music is great listening music, full of love and joy. You can appreciate him again and again and his music grows on you more and more. His music is ever fresh and alive.

Opening the evening with Don Carlos is the Reggae Angels. The Reggae Angels also recently performed on numerous festivals including Reggae in the Hills, The Oroville Rock Reggae Jamfest, Reggae on the River and the Trinity River Jamboree. Prior to that the Reggae Angels  toured North America backed by Sly and Robbie and the Taxi Gang. This was their second US tour backed by the Rhythm Twins.

The Reggae Angels music consists of lyrical guidance for themselves and others towards righteous living – proverbial words and music. The Reggae Angels have toured extensively in North America, Hawaii, Canada, South America, Europe and Africa.

The Reggae Angels released a new album called The Way on January 13th, 2015. This is serious message music in collaboration with the multi-Grammy award winning legends Sly and Robbie on bass and drums with the Taxi Gang, featuring Franklyn ‘Bubbler’ Waul on keyboards, Nambo Robinson on trombone and Stepper on saxophone. Also featured are Dwight Pinkney on guitar and Laurie Lewis on violin.

The Way brings the Reggae Angels 13 CD catalogue from strength to strength. It is a pleasure to listen to the spiritual messages expressed in these works. Over the past two decades the Reggae Angels have been consistently bringing the world sincere message music.
