Reggae and Dub vibes in a rockers style! Frozen Dub is a slow smooth silky vibe that will warm you up for the winter months and chill you out on those hot summer days. The familiar riddim and uplifting melodies are all part of what makes Frozen Dub great!
By it’s very nature, the season of Winter is bitter cold & complexly dark. While searching for the light during this desolate space, Dub Proof was firmly entrenched in exploring reggae riddims that have been around for millions of years and stumbled across this one on an exquisitely frozen day in January in Asbury Park. While Sean, Paul, Pat & Nick layed down the foundation, it was Dave Hollader’s horn line that helped melt the ice affixed on the window of room 8 in the Hotdog House. Years later the song was recorded in Neptune, NJ at Dub Proof’s studio. Addis Pablo was visiting family for the holidays & was able to bless this track with melodica sounds from an ancient future. Nick Paolise, sharpening his producer skills, engineered the dub mix that makes up the Frozen Dub EP that you hear today.
Dub Proof is a 5 piece reggae & dub band from Asbury Park NJ, who like to take a smooth approach to warm weather music.
