Island Vibe

To celebrate our birthday, we have decided to do something special… Namely releasing the first ever Island Vibe Compilation pressed exclusively on Vinyl! We have reached our target amount and are in the process of pressing the vinyl as we speak!

We are also putting together a Bamboo USB featuring the ENTIRE back catalogue of tunes from our festival compilation series – over 150 great tracks and rare instrumentals from such artists as Easy Star All-Stars, J-Pod, Cornerstone Roots, Lotek, The Black Seeds, Chali 2na, The Red Eyes, Little Bushman, Kooii, Kingfisha, Dynamic Thrills, Dubmarine, Mr Laneous, Georgia Potter, House of Shem, Mista Savona, The Nomad and many more.

Both of these cool items will be available at www.rudekatrecords.com in the near future!

SECOND LINEUP DROP

Joining our first line up announcement of Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Natiruts (Brazil), Mungo’s Hifi (UK), Kingfisha, Hugo & Treats, the Seven Ups, Kooyeh and Katia Demeester are a whole swag of uber-talented raggamuffins – including UK’s ZIon Train, FNQ reggae superstars Zennith, the ultra cool Isaac Chambers with the equally cool and beautiful Dub Princess, Brisbane’s formidable Chocolate Strings, the awesome Felicity Lawless, the soulful and passionate Loa, Byron Bay’s eclectic Skankstarz and Airlie Beach rising stars Sun Salute.

Also for the third year running, we are inviting along the good peeps at Earth Frequency Festival to curate The Bamboo Bass stage. The first round of acts have been announced for the Bamboo Bass 2015 and it’s shaping up to be a stellar lineup of international guests and local talent.  Topping the bill so far we have Muti Music’s bossman Dov (USA) and glitch king K+Lab (NZ) flying in to share their broken beat delights. On the homefront, Bumble, Dub Princess and Isaac Chambers, Kodiak Kid, Bass Bin Laden, Billy Dread, Andy Dub, Duos and Afrogalactic are all on board, with styles ranging from hip hop and glitch-hop to drum and bass and dubstep.

More to be announced real soon groovers… Stay tuned!

The world famous Point Lookout on Stradbroke Island is located only 90 minutes from Brisbane, and the festival site itself is located in the park beside the stunning Home Beach, allowing festival-goers the opportunity to bask in the cooling azure waters of the South Pacific between performances.
