Sting is working on a reggae album with Shaggy

Shaggy and StingIan Nelson, who stars in producer Trudie Styler’s film “Freak Show,” lived with her and her husband, Sting, to prepare for the role.

Nelson, 22, confessed, “I’ll be real, I didn’t really know who Sting was when I started so I would go upstairs at night and listen to The Police with earphones.”“I was in training. I was on a diet with her chef, working with her on the part, working with a dialect coach,” he told us at a Cinema Society screening.

He’ll have some new music soon. Sting and Shaggy are working on a reggae album. “We have a lot in common,” Sting told us. “We’re both married to very strong women. We both come from small islands that used to belong to the queen. And we like each other. We like each other’s voices and music and vibe. We’re like kindred spirits.”

They recently performed their song “Don’t Make Me Wait” at the Shaggy and Friends benefit in Jamaica.
