Due to circumstances beyond our control we have been directed to postpone our festival event until April 15, 2017 by our governmental partners, the Panamanian Tourism Authority under whose authority the event is being staged. We are truly sorry if this adversely affects our contractual agreement.
We will be providing a press release along with other public notices regarding this development very soon.
There are, however, to be fair, many benefits to this development:
The event will now be staged at a much more convenient venue and location than bocas del Toro. It will be in El Valle de Ancon, beautiful open fields in a valley just 1 and a half hours drive from the capital Panama City. This will provide more convenient access to backline providers, professional and technical service providers, medical services, portable toilet suppliers, a greater number of 4-star hotel accommodations, meal and restaurant choices, big city activities, financial institutions, telecommunications and wi-fi, camping and other accommodation options to attendees, direct and convenient international travel, car rental, and various other services.
If your artist cannot fit the new date into their schedule, we will totally understand. We will, however, be staging additional events in coming months in this new emerging Panama market and will be contracting artists for these as well.
Please let us know as soon as possible of your availability for the new April 15, 2017 date, as this knowledge is essential to our continued production and will let us know if we can proceed with our contractual 90-day disbursement of payment and other obligations.
It remains a stated goal of Bocas Music Fest, LLC to stage a great and successful international reggae festival event in the Republic of Panama in 2017.
We thank you for your patience and understanding,
Director of operations, Bocas Music Fest, LLC
