FREEDOM STREET CONCERT with VYBZ KARTEL & FRIENDS On New Year’s Eve at National Stadium in Kingston is Expected to be the Biggest Event ever Staged in Jamaica

After 14 long years, the countdown has begun to the most anticipated event in dancehall history; the return of Vybz Kartel to the stage!! Freedom Street, is slated for Tuesday, December 31^st at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

HISTORIC DANCEHALL EVENT

Get ready for the most historic New Years event that Jamaica has ever seen. Freedom Street is more than a concert; it’s an experience, and a declaration that the “King of the dancehall” is returning to his throne!

The return of Vybz Kartel at Freedom Street, is shaping up to be the most anticipated event ever staged in Jamaica. This New Year’s Eve experience will host a slew of top tier DJ’s, such as ZJ Chrome, Code Red, Ricky Platinum, Franco, Brush 1 & Boom Boom, who will bring “Str8 Vybz” to patrons from 4pm. The over 14 bars and over 60 food court vendors will also be open at 4pm for patrons to indulge, before Vybz Kartel enters the stage. The stage show portion of the event is slated to begin at 10pm, with an amazing fireworks show at midnight, toasting to a new year.

At the official launch for Freedom Street, held on November 6^th, Vybz Kartel announced that he will be joined on stage by Skillibeng, Spice, Tommy Lee, Lisa Hyper, Likkle Addi & Likkle Vybz. He also made mention of Busta Rhymes coming to the event and hinted at an international female rapper and male Canadian Rapper. Since then, the “Worl’ Boss” has taken to social media announcing the addition of Popcaan, Chronic Law, Sheba and Gaza Indu, to the Freedom Street line up.

Freedom Street, has gotten the attention of many international artists who have reached out to join in the celebration. Tickets have been selling online globally to fans from every continent. Tickets are also available in Fontana stores across Jamaica and El Paso, Montego Bay.

VYBZ KARTEL

Vybz Kartel a.k.a. the “Teacha”, is one of Jamaica’s most popular dancehall artists. He has collaborated with performers such as Jay-Z, Eminem and Rihanna. His best-known hits include “Fever”, “Ramping Shop” and “Dollar sign.” His success led to him launch Street Vybz rum and Daggering condoms. Since his release, Adijah Palmer (Vybz Kartel) launched his new Rum Line, Str8 Vybz rum. This line features 4 rums names after his songs; Fever, Unstoppable, Romping Shop and Electric. He also added Fire Grabba to his portfolio. Both his brands made their debut at the Freedom Street Launch at Jangas Sound Bar in November.

Vybz Kartel, along with Joe Bogdanovich emphasized on the upcoming event being more than just a stage show. It is an event for friends and family members to ring in the NY in the amazing atmosphere of Freedom Street, while enjoying Kartels historic return to the stage. They alsp announced the official rum partner as Str8 Vybz rum, official cognac as Remi Martin and the official sparkling beverage as Luc Belaire.

Center Stage is located closest to the stage. This area is situated directly around the front of the stage and behind the media area providing patrons with the closest view of the stage. Center stage patrons will have designated ease of entry and exit into the venue. This area is mixed-drink inclusive from our sponsors.

Cycle Track pods are located parallel to the running track on both sides of the field. This area has a great view of the stage. Cycle Track patrons have designated ease of entry and exit into the venue. The cycle track pods entitle you to a designated area, eight tickets, two on-site parking passes and a bottle package inclusive of six bottles, a hostess and security.
