BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn brings Chronixx, one of Kingston’s hottest new artists, to Prospect Park on Saturday July 8th!

Chronixx has a style that recalls the Rastafarian golden age of the 1970s, with uplifting, consciousness-raising lyrics set to deep, swooning rhythms. He’s joined by New York’s all-star ensemble Chop & Quench formed as the cast and band of FELA! The Musical and continue to bring us the city’s rowdiest Afrobeat. Nigerian-born artist, musician, and activist Laolu will perform with his band Afromysterics and then will engage in the Sacred Art of the Ori Ritual (body-painting).
