Hosanna.. Igziabehr.. Let JAH be praised… the focus and intent behind the sound generated by the Colorado, USA based roots reggae band Hosanna. This group hit the scene in 2015 with their live band debut as an opener two nights in a row. First in Colorado Springs, and then in Denver they shared the bill with rising stars Kabaka Pyramid & Iba Mahr who were backed by an all-star band out of Jamaica, the Bebble Rockers. Hosanna kept the fire burning into the summer of 2016 when they hit the stage again, this time opening for Joseph Israel & the Jerusalem Band in Boulder. Shortly after Hosanna made appearance at the 15th Annual Soul Rebel Festival in Boulder with headliner Black Uhuru. They have also recently recorded and freely released a demo which can be found by visiting their Facebook site. Sounds of Nyahbinghi drums, a soaring melodica, bubbling keys, heavy bass, fiery drums, and an angelic female vocalist whose gift must be shared leaves you remembering why you love reggae music. True to the roots, Hosanna is the real thing. “Our music is not just for entertainment. It carries a message of expanding consciousness, gratitude for our divine heritage, and the joys of natural living.” Hosanna has brought these words into fruition recently putting on their own monthly “Boom Festival” in Boulder which features yoga, guided meditation, plus natural food and drink all followed by a live set by the band. In the midst of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and its glorious canyons and flowing streams Hosanna stays inspired and in tune. From their practice studio nestled up in the towering Pine trees expect much more to come from Hosanna in this next year.
