This year marks the 12th edition of Reggae on the Mountain, a major accomplishment for any independent music festival. Reggae on the Mountain continues to be the premier Roots Reggae and World Music event, focusing on family-friendly, community-driven music and honoring the rich heritage of the roots reggae genre.

Label 27’s Reggae on the Mountain festival brings roots reggae to Topanga Canyon for a fantastic day and evening of music from international stars and prominent local and regional bands. Thousands will attend this year’s festival. Over the years, ROTM has hosted big-name acts, including Ziggy Marley, reggae/dancehall DJ Yellowman, Julian Marley, original Black Uhuru member Don Carlos, Toots & The Maytals, Kymani Marley, and the Easy Star All-Stars.

L.A.’s reggae community is inspirational. The two founders add, “What’s so great about Los Angeles and Southern California is the incredible fusion of Latin music and reggae emerging from the area.”

Founded in 2009, Label 27 produces and promotes music and art festivals in the Los Angeles area. The organization is dedicated to hosting large, inclusive gatherings that showcase a culturally eclectic array of world-renowned musicians, artists, and thinkers. Label 27 believes that event creation is culture creation. Amit and Brooks conclude, “We invite everyone to join us at our Homecoming on August 17, 2024, to celebrate art, music, and love!”
