Capleton To Close 3 – day, 26th Intl Festival of Life, July 8th, Union Park, Chicago

The reggae fireman and festivals most requested performer, Capleton and the Prophecy Band to close the star-studded 26th African/Caribbean International Festival of Life (IFOL) on Sunday, July 8th.

The three – day festival which is celebrating “TheReggae50”, fifty years of reggae and the Bicentennial Death of Chicago’s founding father, Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, runs Friday, July 6th thru Sunday, July 8th in Union Park, 1501 West Randolph Street, downtown, Chicago West Loop, from noon until 10:00 pm daily.

Among the other headliners are: Spice – Queen of the Dancehall & Love & Hip Hop TV Star, Ace Hood- Hip Hop Sensation, Romain Virgo- Premier Reggae Star, Elephant Man – The Reggae Energy God, Yellowman – the King of the Dancehall and Sweet Micky (aka Michel Martelly) – former President of Haiti;.
Terisa Griffin – Chicago’s R&B Star and Best Female Vocalist for 2017, and Lever – Chicago’s Best Rock Entertainer for 2017 are among the more than fifty other world music acts who will various genres of music. Tickets are now on sale at www.internationalfestivaloflife.com, Groupon, Eventbrite and Event Sprout. It’s a family festival of music, food, arts, crafts, games and more for the entire family.
