Jatta Records and VPAL Music commence pre-orders for Love, Herb & Reggae, the much-anticipated 5th album from Taj Weekes & Adowa. The album is slated for release on February 12th through VPAL Music, the distribution arm of VP Records. Top Shelf Reggae declares, “Weekes is an inspiration to roots reggae, progressing it forward one call to action at a time – an element conspicuously missing in most recent reggae albums across the board.”

“Here I Stand”, the first single from the album, highlights as message of love, specifically addressing the issue of sexuality.

“Love is a human rights issue,” Weekes states. “That’s the important thing. We shouldn’t be defining people by their sexuality. Who’s the one to decide what’s ‘normal,’ anyway? What we need is more love in this world, more diversity. The single is me: I’m stating my position and taking my stand.”

Weekes is hoping to bridge the gap between the reggae and LGBTQ+ community through the powerful message of love using the universal language of music.
