A few weeks ago Kenrick Burke, CEO and owner of Burkieboys Production, released the single “Heart String,” performed by emerging reggae artists Bescenta and Fiyaneer. The record is timely as it addresses the Jamaican government’s Noise Abatement Act, which states that reggae and dancehall events must be shut down at 12 AM on weekdays and 2 AM on the weekend. On the record the men lament on the importance of reggae music and the massive role it plays in Jamaica’s culture. “Heart String” was published on November 2nd, and is now available on all digital music platforms. |
