San Diego’s award-winning beach rock band Sandollar is gearing up for a busy spring and summer, announcing plans to tour in support of a new full-length studio album recorded and mixed at the legendary Studio 606, the home studio of the Foo Fighters.
The album, produced and mixed by Jon Lousteau, is tentatively slated for release this spring, and the band is currently booking spring and summer dates to support their album.
Sandollar’s tight five-piece lineup delivers their unmistakable “beach rock” sound—a high-energy blend of feel-good melodies, driving rock guitar, hip-hop-influenced grooves, and a soul-locked rhythm section. Known for vibrant live shows and a devoted regional following, the band has earned multiple San Diego Music Awards and consistent recognition across Southern California’s live music scene.
Frontman Baron Lunbeck, an avid surfer who spends much of his downtime at Black’s Beach, draws heavily from Southern California’s coastal culture. “We coined the term ‘beach rock’ because it reflects how we live,” Lunbeck says. “It’s about riding the wave—musically and in life—and letting different influences flow together naturally.”

Following a strong run of 2025 releases—including a well-received acoustic album collaboration and the surf-driven single “One Way”—Sandollar has continued to build momentum both on record and on stage. Last summer’s touring further cemented the band’s reputation as a reliable live draw with a sound that resonates equally with surf, reggae, and rock audiences.
“Sandollar has carved out a lane that feels authentic and timeless,” says label CEO Brian Witkin. “Their music captures the Southern California spirit in a way that translates effortlessly from the studio to the stage.”
With the new album ready to anchor their next chapter, Sandollar is actively booking spring and summer 2026 dates and is fully tour-ready for club, festival, and coastal markets.
