Sgt. Remo Returns with Powerful Roots Reggae Single “Look Within”

Inspired by the Gospel of Thomas, the Kutral Dub-produced single explores spiritual awakening, self-discovery, and the search for truth.

SAN ANTONIO, TX

International reggae artist Sgt. Remo returns with “Look Within,” his first release since his acclaimed 2026 album ELVTD (Elevated). Produced by Chilean reggae producer Kutral Dub, the single delivers a heavyweight roots reggae sound, combining deep basslines, rich instrumentation, and a hypnotic chorus carrying a profound spiritual message.

INSPIRATION

Inspired by the ancient Gospel of Thomas, “Look Within” explores the idea that truth, wisdom, and spiritual enlightenment must be discovered from within rather than sought in the external world.

CENTRAL MESSAGE

“Look within, nah go find it without,” Remo repeats throughout the track, reinforcing the song’s central message of introspection and self-awareness.
The lyrics also address contemporary issues, including social media consumption, misinformation, and propaganda, encouraging listeners to question outside influences and recognize their own spiritual power.

Kutral Dub’s production provides a driving roots foundation with spacious, dub-influenced arrangements, complementing Remo’s commanding baritone and conscious delivery.

TEACHINGS

The song closes with a passage inspired by the Gospel of Thomas, connecting ancient spiritual teachings with modern roots reggae expression.
Following the release of ELVTD and a prolific year of international collaborations, Sgt. Remo continues his mission of creating conscious reggae music that challenges, uplifts, and inspires.

“Look Within” is both a heavyweight roots anthem and a reminder that the journey toward truth begins within.
