Shining by reggae singer Dillgin has reached the pole position on two charts the Jamaica Top 25 Reggae Songs Chart holding firm for two weeks and on Clinton Lindsay’s Top 30 Foundation Chart.
The song surged past a stellar field with the top five rounded out with the songs: Powerful – Major Lazer & Ellie Goulding feat Taurus Riley, Cool Me Down – Taurus Riley, Rasta – Jah Cure and All On Me – Gyptian.
Shining an inspirational and uplifting number has been out since last year November and steadily gained in popularity. Now after a nineteen week presence on the Richard Burgess compiled survey it satisfied its ultimate ambition. “I think the song grew on people” said Dillgin and “everywhere I perform it the response has been great”.
The singer is enjoying a respectable level of popularity and as a result was called by the promoters of one of the premier shows of the holiday season GT Extravaganza who booked him for the event. Not resting on his laurels the artist have already released the follow up to Shining, Million Miles which in his opinion “this may even be bigger than the first song”.
In addition the services of veteran artist manager Roger Grant have been procured as the artist gears up for 2016.
