ABOUT WWMF
Founded by lead singer Kumar, Uncle Ronnie, Mahlon Moving and Raging Fyah band members, Wickie Wackie Live burst onto the scene in 2011 as a monthly series. What began as a local gathering, quickly became a must play event for musicians, driving the global “Reggae Revival”. WWL brought forward many emerging artistes to the stage before the world embraced them including Chronixx, Koffee, Hemptress Sativa & Jah 9.By popular demand, we levelled up and elevated the experience and transformed the series into a Euro inspired cultural festival model welcoming the likes of artistes, Morgan Heritage, Julian Marley, Romain Virgo and Kabaka Pyramid more. However, unlike those festivals, we don’t just honor roots music: we embody it. We are and home and the heartbeat of Jamaica. Roots, Rock, Reggae. Wickie Wackie Music Festival is an official endorsed REGGAE MONTH event by the JCDC, the Ministry of CGES and JaRIA.
