A melting pot of musical cultures including old school reggae, dancehall, reggaetón, hip hop, rhythm and blues and soca music, will comprise the offerings at the inaugural staging of the Ecips Music Festival.
The festival takes place on Sunday August 20 at the Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York. Among the performers are Akon, Remy Ma, Alkaline, Freddie Jackson, Queen Ifrica, Elephant Man, Denise Belfon, De La Ghetto, Kip Rich, Mega Banton, Genah, Michigan, Lady G, Tinga Stewart, Roy Rayon, Donyale, Maddadan and Teflon.
According to Suzan Peart, one of the promoters of the event, patrons are in for a musical treat.
‘Patrons will be a part of a sure fire successful event and witness 100% performance from the artistes. And don’t forget the nice succulent foods of the Caribbean’, said Ms. Peart.
Peart has teamed up with Michael Bailey and Everod Vernon for the festival which promises to be an annual affair.
‘ECIPS is SPICE spelt backwards. We are promoting unity in our community, and so we are bringing all genres of music to the people’, Peart added.
The Fluffy Diva Miss Kitty will host the event.
ECIPS is a joint venture with Arise Hospitality Solutions. Patrons can log onto www.ecipsmusicfestival.com for more details.
