Ras Vuyo releases a debut album ‘Diversion’

Diversion is a new album by Ras Vuyo from Cape Town, South Africa and all the music on the album is played by one of South Africa’s top Reggae bands, the Azania Band except for ‘Diversion’ which is produced Dawit Melelik Tafari and ‘Life it nuh easy’ which features Mutabaruka and is produced by Hopeton Hibbert the son of Toots of Toots and the Maytals.

This is the first album on which Ras Vuyo is doing vocals, Ras Vuyo has been producing Reggae music for many years and his riddims have been voiced by Freddie McGregor, Prince Malachi, Yellowman, King Kong, Laza Morgan, Jimmy Riley and many more top international artist.

The Diversion album has 16 catchy and thought provoking tunes of which includes 3 dub versions. On the album Ras Vuyo also features Wild Life & Vivian Jones with Dean Fraser blowing the horns on six of the tunes. The album was mixed by Jah Roadz, Hopeton Hibbert , Manjul and Paul Hussey, Jah Roadz and Manjul are also playing percussions on the album.

Diversion is a Roots Reggae album which is melodic, hypnotic and meditative. The vocal delivery is steady and deliberate to make sure that the listener does not miss the massage. This one is strictly for the lovers of music.
